Hi there, I’m Kairi from Bondora’s Investor Associates’ team. We strive to give first-class customer service to our investors and to answer all your questions. Here are the top questions we received from our investors this month. Let’s take a look!
1. Account: “My date of birth is incorrect on my profile. How can I fix it?”
If your date of birth is incorrect on your profile, it could be that you haven’t added it yet, and it’s showing the default date. To add your date of birth, simply complete the verification process. You information will be checked and verified with the help of your ID or passport.
You can complete the process by logging into your account and selecting the ‘Identification’ option from the main menu. Follow all the required steps until the process is complete. Once verified, your date of birth details will be updated.
2. Finances: “Where can I find the Bondora 2019 financial report?”
We released our 2019 financial report in July and you can read the complete report here. We’re proud to announce that we made a net profit of €2.3M in 2019—a staggering 2,184% increase on the previous year. Revenue also increased by 96% to €20.3M. “This [surge] was mainly due to advancements in product development and marketing.” said Pärtel Tomberg, Bondora’s Founder and CEO.

3. Payments: “What’s the best way to add money to my account?”
When it comes to adding money to your account to boost your investments, nothing beats SEPA instant payments for simplicity, security and speed.
SEPA instant payments offer easy and simple payments. Through SEPA, you can make payments to your account within 10 seconds or less, 24/7. It also uses 2-factor authentication for maximum security, so you know your money is secure. For new users to Bondora, SEPA payments acts as the verification method to validate your bank account and finalize setting up your account.
There are other payment options as well, such as TransferWise and Trustly. But we recommend SEPA for the best payment experience.
4. Withdrawal: “What is Wallet?”
Wallet is one of our latest features to help make your investing experience with Bondora even better. Wallet lets you withdraw from Go & Grow faster and easier. Just click on the burger icon, select Transfer to Wallet, and confirm the amount you want to withdraw from Go & Grow. Remember, there’s a small €1 fee when making a Go & Grow withdrawal to Wallet.
When logging into your account, Wallet shows you the total amount available for you to withdraw straight to your bank account. Or, you can reinvest that amount. The choice is yours.
This update isn’t live yet, but it’s coming soon!

5. Investing: What is the Secondary Market?
The Secondary Market is an active marketplace where investors can buy and sell shares of their loans to and from other investors. Think of it as secondhand loans 😉
If you just use Go & Grow, you don’t need to worry about manually buying and selling loans on the Secondary Market. However, if you invest throught Portfolio Manager, Portfolio Pro, or the API, you can use the Bondora Secondary Market to exchange loans. If you want to sell loans from your portfolio or buy them from others, the Secondary Market is the place to go.
But remember: If you want to invest manually via the Secondary Market please note that this is a high-risk strategy that often results in a lower net return (and even losses).
