With a total of 44,345 missed payments recovered in November, Bondora recoveries jumped higher by 4% for the second straight month. Recoveries across all stages were higher, with default and court recoveries up the most (6.2%) compared to October. The category with the highest number of recovered payments remains as bailiff recoveries in Estonia (8,966), and default and court recoveries in Spain (7,522).
Cash Recoveries
Cash recoveries decreased in November, however more payments were recovered overall. In total, €426,289 was recovered on the month, a decline of 1.2%, bringing the average recovery payment down to €9.61 from €11.47 a month ago. Bucking the overall trend, cash recovered in Spain actually rose by 38.4% to €53,083.
Yearly Recovery Rate
The current year’s recovery rate continued to fall in line with previous year rates, down to 59.2%. Yet, for the second straight month, the recovery rate for 2014 rose, this time up to 46.4%. The 5-year cumulative recovery rate fell by 1.2% to 45%.
Recoveries by Country
While the recovery rate across all Bondora countries decreased in the most recent three years, the Estonian recovery rate is maintaining the most stability. For the past three years, the Estonian recovery rate fell by 2.4%, 0.9%, and 0.6%. However, this is only a snapshot of the overall recovery performance.
Estonia holds returns consistent
Recoveries were once again on the rise, with all countries recovering more missed payments than last month. Recovery rates for the most recent several years decreased, but within expectations.
