For the second straight month, Bondora recovery payments increased. In July there were a total of 36,464 recovered payments, an increase of 4.4% over June. Bailiff recoveries grew by 5.2% to a total of 13,106 on the month. There were increases across the board for recovered payments in Estonia, Spain, and Finland.
Cash Recoveries
Cash recovered in July grew at a higher rate than total recoveries. The total cash recovered on the month came to €475,744, bringing the average payment recovery up to €13.05 from €10.75 in June. The majority of cash recovered continues to be from the bailiff stage, which held 67.9% of all cash recovered on the month.
Yearly Recovery Rate
Higher recoveries in July may have contributed to improved overall performance. The yearly recovery rate for 2019 increased 3.6% higher to 74.93%. This also bought the cumulative recovery rate for the past 6-years up slightly to 47.48%.
Recoveries by Country
The yearly recovery rate for 2019 in Spain soared to 105.4% from 96.5% one month ago. Both Finnish (87.6%) and Estonian (61.3%) 2019 yearly rate dropped slightly, but remain at well above-average levels.
Recoveries Up Again
A 4.4% increase in total recoveries made July a great month for recovery performance on Bondora. Strong recoveries are a welcome sign to investors, who are able to estimate the rate at which missed loan payments are recovered by Bondora, and achieve higher returns as a result.
