Investors have received over €50M in returns with Bondora

2021 started with some good news as we see that across Bondora’s lifetime, investors have received more than €50M in returns. It’s humbling and satisfying to know that we can contribute to our investors’ mission to increase their wealth as they build the financial future of their dreams. In January, 4,068 people joined Bondora, bringing the number of investors to 151,563. In total, €405M has been invested, and investors have earned more than €50M in returns over the last 12 years.

Investments for January totaled €6,186,462.00 – just slightly lower than how we ended 2020. Despite the slight decline, Go & Grow remains the most popular product, with a total investment share of 93%. It accounts for €5,747,420 of all investments. Across the board, there was a slight decrease in our other investment products’ funding. But despite this, we’re starting the year with some of the highest investment levels we’ve seen since October last year, indicating that investors confident in investing with Bondora.

In January, a total of €677,325 was collected in recovered loans. This is slightly lower than in December. However, the number of loans increased. A total of 69,009 loans were recovered during the collection and recovery process. The highest amount was recovered in Estonia (€343,096), but Finland isn’t far behind €242,140. We will do everything we can to ensure the debt is collected for our investors to feel confident in our abilities to protect their assets.

In December, Secondary Market transactionsdeclined, but true to its trend; they rose again in January. The total value of transactions was €396,072 – climbing by €41,592 from December. Manual transactions are still the most popular by far – taking up €244,520 of the total share. API transactions came in with Portfolio Manager transactions hot on their heels.

Building on December’s growth, Finnish loans gained momentum in January, increasing from €23,547 to €666,486. This is the 3rd month since the Finnish market reopened, and it’s a welcome sign to see the level of loan originations. Estonia is comfortable holding the lead, despite a slight decrease to €5,519,976’s worth of originations.

2021 starts promising, with encouraging loan originations from Estonia and Finland. Investors continue to build their wealth as we see a steady stream of investments. This sets the tone for 2021, and we’re looking forward to seeing what the year will bring.
